Surgical Benefits
Lantern (formerly SurgeryPlus) is a comprehensive benefit that provides pre-planned non-emergency surgical services at NO COST to you and covered dependents. You can still see your doctor but if you need surgery, call Lantern.
Lantern has identified the nation’s highest-quality surgeons and the network includes 100% board-certified providers in many major metropolitan areas. Providers have undergone rigorous screening (including specialized training) to reduce your risk of complications and avoidable costs.
When using Lantern, your deductible and coinsurance are waived, which means you DO NOT PAY anything out-of-pocket for your procedure! We will also provide you with a pre-loaded debit card to help you pay for gas, meals, and parking prior to all of your appointments. Due to how we contract our providers, you can rest easy knowing you are not responsible for any bills post-procedure, and there are no surprise “out-of-network” providers.
Lantern now includes Hinge, a virtual physical therapy option!
Eligibility
If you are enrolled in one of the CRG medical plans, you have been automatically enrolled in this extra benefit at NO additional cost. If you are planning a procedure, call Lantern as you could save thousands of dollars.
